FaceCards Terms & Conditions

Published 16 September 2026 · effective 16 September 2026.

Last updated: 16 September 2026 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of FaceCards, including the website, account portal, camera-based gesture controller, browser extension, desktop and mobile applications, free trial, lifetime entitlement, downloads, updates and related services. Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account, enabling camera or accessibility permissions, connecting a controller, downloading software or making a purchase. By creating an account, accepting the current Terms, purchasing or using FaceCards, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use FaceCards. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights. 1. Who we are FaceCards is operated by: ONECORTEX LTD Company number: 17374603 Registered in: England and Wales Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom General support, privacy, legal, intellectual-property and safety contact: facecardssupport@gmail.com “FaceCards”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean ONECORTEX LTD and the FaceCards service. “You” and “your” mean the individual accessing or using FaceCards. 2. Documents forming the FaceCards agreement These Terms incorporate the following documents where they are attached to, linked from or otherwise made available with the current Terms. They explain specific parts of the service and form part of the FaceCards agreement where relevant: • Privacy Policy; • End User Licence Agreement; • Camera, Gesture Tracking and Calibration Notice; • Acceptable Use and Account Enforcement Policy; • Lifetime Purchase, Cancellation and Refund Policy; • Cookie, Browser and Device Storage Notice; • Platform Permissions, Automation and Compatibility Notice; • Product Development, Updates and Feature Availability Notice; • Age Eligibility and Under-18 Privacy Notice; • Complaints, Contact and Appeals Policy; • Disclaimer and Safety Notice; and • Intellectual Property, Third-Party Software and Trademark Notice. A specific notice shown immediately before a permission, purchase, download, update or feature may add conditions for that feature. Mandatory statutory rights always take priority over conflicting contractual wording. 3. What FaceCards is FaceCards is a hands-free controller. It uses camera-based computer vision to recognise deliberate eye, head, facial and hand gestures and converts recognised gestures into user-configured actions for compatible applications, websites and devices. Depending on platform and release status, FaceCards may provide browser, desktop, Android, iOS/iPadOS, extension, calibration, mapping, device-management, trial, account, purchase and update functionality. FaceCards is not a flashcard repository. Its core controller does not need to read or store the questions, answers or decks you study. 4. What FaceCards is not FaceCards is not a medical device, healthcare service, clinical system, emergency service, regulated financial system, examination system, accessibility certification service or guarantee that any third-party application can be controlled safely or continuously. FaceCards does not determine whether an action is appropriate. It executes mappings configured or selected by the user. You remain responsible for the consequences of actions sent to another application or website. 5. Eligibility and adult-only access FaceCards is an adult-only service. You must be at least 18 years old to create a FaceCards account, start a trial, download or use the controller software, or purchase FaceCards. By registering, starting a trial, purchasing or using FaceCards, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Do not create an account for a person under 18, allow a person under 18 to use your account, or help anyone evade the age restriction. If we reasonably believe an account belongs to, was created for, or is being used by a person under 18, we may restrict, suspend or terminate access and take appropriate steps concerning the associated personal data. A false age declaration is a breach of these Terms. See the Age Eligibility and Under-18 Privacy Notice. 6. Accounts and account security You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure and promptly tell us if you suspect compromise. A personal account is for one person unless we expressly agree otherwise. Email verification may be required before controller access. We may invalidate sessions, require re-authentication or require acceptance of updated Terms for security or legal reasons. Security-sensitive verification, password-reset and account-deletion links expire and are intended only for the person to whom they were issued. 7. Camera and gesture tracking Gesture control requires camera access on supported devices. Camera access is subject to your device, browser or operating-system permission controls. FaceCards is designed to process raw camera frames locally for gesture recognition. Raw camera video, face photographs, eye images and frame-by-frame facial-landmark history are not intended to be uploaded to the FaceCards backend. Derived calibration information may be synchronised to your account as explained in the Privacy Policy and Camera, Gesture Tracking and Calibration Notice. FaceCards uses Google MediaPipe Tasks for on-device computer-vision processing. Google states that MediaPipe Tasks does not send input data such as images or video to Google servers, but that the MediaPipe Tasks APIs send performance and utilisation metrics to Google. Further details are in the Privacy Policy and Camera, Gesture Tracking and Calibration Notice. Recognition is probabilistic and can be affected by lighting, camera position, eyewear, movement, occlusion, device performance and other conditions. A gesture can be missed, delayed or recognised incorrectly. 8. Mappings, automated inputs and user responsibility You choose or configure what recognised gestures do. Supported actions may include keyboard chords or sequences, mouse clicks, touchscreen taps, mapped screen regions, scrolling, swipes and specific platform actions. A configured gesture may trigger one or multiple actions. Before enabling live control, you are responsible for checking the mapping, the target application and the likely effect of accidental input. Do not use FaceCards for a safety-critical or high-consequence action where an unintended input could reasonably cause physical harm, clinical harm, financial loss, legal consequences, loss of important data or compromise of security. 9. Third-party applications, websites and services FaceCards can interact with third-party applications or websites through generic keyboard, mouse, touchscreen, browser-extension, accessibility or adapter mechanisms. Unless we expressly say otherwise, FaceCards is independent from those third parties and is not endorsed by them. You are responsible for complying with the terms, rules and permissions of the application, website, institution or service you choose to control. Third-party interface changes, security controls, browser rules, operating-system changes or store policies may break or limit an integration without notice to us. 10. Platform limitations and compatibility Capabilities differ by platform. For example, desktop builds may send keyboard or mouse input to the focused application; Android may use a user-enabled Accessibility Service for deterministic actions; and iOS/iPadOS does not permit unrestricted control of arbitrary native apps. A compatibility label means that FaceCards is designed or tested for a stated workflow. It is not a guarantee of uninterrupted future compatibility. The live website, download page and in-app notices are the current source for supported platforms and released capabilities. 11. Free trial Where enabled, a free trial starts from account creation, not from first controller use. The current default configuration is a 24-hour calendar trial, but the live service may display a different duration if we lawfully change the offer. Email-verification time may count within the trial period. Trial terms shown when you register or start the trial are part of the offer. We may prevent repeated or abusive trial creation. 12. Lifetime entitlement A successful qualifying one-time purchase grants a non-expiring personal FaceCards entitlement for the supported FaceCards product while it continues to be made available by ONECORTEX LTD, subject to these Terms, lawful account enforcement, platform availability and any mandatory consumer rights. “Lifetime” does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser, a guarantee that every operating system or third-party app will remain supported forever, or ownership of the FaceCards software or source code. We will not use this wording to remove statutory remedies if paid digital content or services are faulty, misdescribed, withdrawn in a way that breaches the contract, or otherwise fail to meet mandatory legal standards. 13. Device limit and device management A FaceCards entitlement may be limited to a maximum number of active controller devices. The current default is three active personal devices, but the live purchase information controls the number promised for a particular purchase. Signing into the website alone does not consume a controller-device slot. You can remove an old controller device to free a slot. We may revoke a device credential where necessary for account security, fraud prevention, refund enforcement or policy enforcement. 14. Purchases, taxes and payment providers Website purchases may be processed by Stripe. Native purchases may be processed by Apple or Google where those purchase routes are released. The payment provider may apply its own payment, tax, refund and account rules. Where required by law, we will provide material purchase information before you are bound to pay, including the current price and currency, applicable tax treatment, the one-time nature of the purchase and the material features of the entitlement. The purchase information actually presented at checkout governs the current offer; an old advertisement, screenshot or social post does not override it. FaceCards does not need to store your complete payment-card number when payment credentials are handled by the payment provider. 15. Final purchase, cancellation and refunds FaceCards is sold as a one-time digital purchase rather than an automatically renewing subscription. Once immediate digital supply has begun and any applicable statutory change-of-mind cancellation right has been validly lost, the purchase is final and we do not offer a contractual cancellation or discretionary change-of-mind refund. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where UK law requires prior express consent to immediate digital supply, acknowledgement that a cancellation right will be lost, or contract confirmation, we will rely on loss of that cancellation right only if those requirements have actually been met. Mandatory remedies for faulty, misdescribed or improperly supplied digital content/services, billing errors and other non-excludable rights remain unaffected. The Lifetime Purchase, Cancellation and Refund Policy explains this in more detail. A refund, reversal or provider revocation that is required or validly made may revoke the corresponding FaceCards entitlement. 16. Promotion codes and offers Promotion codes may be subject to eligibility, dates, usage limits and other conditions shown with the offer. Website promotion codes may be validated and applied by Stripe Checkout. You must not misuse promotion codes, create accounts to evade limits, use codes obtained through fraud or attempt to manipulate checkout or refund systems. 17. User settings, control profiles and calibration profiles FaceCards may let you save control profiles, target labels, mappings, layout regions, preferences and derived calibration profiles to your account. These settings are configuration data, not a promise that every target application will interpret an action in the same way. You retain any rights you have in original labels or configuration material you create. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process and transmit that material only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support and improve FaceCards. 18. Acceptable use You must comply with the Acceptable Use and Account Enforcement Policy. In particular, do not use FaceCards to compromise systems, bypass security, automate prohibited activity, evade device or purchase restrictions, commit fraud, interfere with other people’s devices or violate third-party rights. 19. Software licence and intellectual property FaceCards is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms and any applicable EULA, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use released FaceCards software on permitted devices for your own lawful use. Except where applicable law gives you a non-excludable right, you must not copy, resell, sublicense, commercially exploit, circumvent licence controls, extract confidential source material, or reverse engineer FaceCards beyond what the law permits. Open-source components remain governed by their own licences. Those licences take priority for the relevant component where required. 20. Updates and protocol changes We may issue bug fixes, security updates, compatibility changes, model/runtime updates and feature changes. Some updates may be required for continued secure operation or compatibility. We may discontinue an obsolete version where continued support would create disproportionate security, legal or technical risk. Material adverse changes to paid functionality remain subject to the contract and applicable consumer law. 21. Availability and service interruptions FaceCards may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, deployment, hosting failure, payment-provider issues, operating-system changes, third-party changes, security incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. This does not remove any statutory obligation to provide paid digital content or services with the standard required by law. 22. Suspension and termination We may restrict a feature, revoke a controller credential, sign out sessions, suspend an account or terminate access where reasonably necessary for serious or repeated breach, fraud, security compromise, illegal use, payment reversal, protection of other users or compliance with law. Where appropriate, we will consider seriousness, intent, repetition and whether a less restrictive step would address the issue. Serious cybersecurity abuse or fraud may justify immediate action. You may appeal account enforcement as described in the Complaints, Contact and Appeals Policy. 23. Account deletion You may use the account-deletion process where available. Deletion can be irreversible and may remove account settings, mappings, devices and calibration profiles. Deletion does not itself reverse a completed purchase or create a refund right. Purchase, accounting, legal and fraud-prevention records may be retained or detached from the deleted account where lawful and necessary, as explained in the Privacy Policy. 24. Liability and statutory protections Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory statutory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, or for loss caused by your unsafe mapping, prohibited safety-critical use, failure to secure your account, third-party software changes, or use contrary to clear instructions, except where the law makes us responsible. FaceCards is supplied for personal consumer use unless we agree separate business terms in writing. If you use it for commercial or institutional purposes without such an agreement, consumer-specific rights and remedies may not apply in the same way. 25. Changes to these Terms We may update these Terms for legal, security, technical or product reasons. Material changes affecting existing users will be communicated in an appropriate way. Where the service requires acceptance of a new version, access may be paused until you review and accept it. A change will not retrospectively remove a right that had already arisen under applicable law. 26. Governing law and courts These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, except that a consumer may also benefit from mandatory protections of the country in which they habitually live where applicable. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but this does not prevent a consumer from using any court or dispute route that mandatory consumer law permits in their place of residence. 27. Contact Questions about these Terms may be sent to facecardssupport@gmail.com.
