Product Development, Updates and Feature Availability Notice

Last updated: 16 September 2026 FaceCards is actively developed across several platforms. This notice explains how updates, previews, changing platform rules and compatibility work alongside a lifetime entitlement. 1. Active development FaceCards may receive frequent bug fixes, security improvements, calibration changes, model/runtime changes, accessibility improvements, redesigns, new gestures, platform ports and compatibility updates. 2. Released, preview and coming-soon features A feature described as coming soon, beta, preview, experimental, planned or in development may be incomplete, unstable, restricted, delayed, redesigned or never released. It is not part of a current paid promise unless the live purchase information expressly says it is included. 3. Current source of feature availability For current platform availability and purchase functionality, rely on the live FaceCards website, download page, app/store listing and information shown at the time of purchase rather than an old roadmap, video, screenshot or social-media post. 4. Platform differences Windows, macOS, Android, iOS/iPadOS and browser-extension versions do not have identical capabilities. Operating-system rules can make feature parity impossible. We will not describe an unsupported capability as available merely because another platform has it. 5. Updates may be required Security, server protocol or third-party compatibility changes may require users to update. We may stop accepting obsolete controller versions where continued use would create material security, fraud, reliability or legal risk. 6. Desktop update integrity The desktop updater may use cryptographic signatures to verify update authenticity/integrity. Updater signing is separate from operating-system publisher reputation or code-signing mechanisms such as Windows publisher certificates. 7. Feature changes and lifetime purchases A lifetime entitlement does not freeze every interface or feature implementation forever. We may improve, replace, reorganise or retire features for legitimate product, security, legal or compatibility reasons. However, product-development wording does not give us an unlimited right to remove the material core of a paid product in breach of the contract or mandatory consumer law. Remedies remain available where law requires them. 8. Third-party breakage A browser, app, operating system or store can change its UI, APIs, extension model, permission system or policy. We may need time to adapt or may be unable to restore a capability if the platform no longer permits it. 9. Maintenance and outages Temporary downtime, maintenance, failed updates or provider outages can occur. We aim to restore the service reasonably, but cannot guarantee continuous availability. 10. Security and emergency changes We may disable a vulnerable feature, credential type, integration or version without normal notice where delay would create a material security, fraud or safety risk. We will communicate material customer impact where reasonably possible. 11. Marketing accuracy Promotional material should describe the current released product accurately. A demonstration recorded on an earlier version is illustrative and may not match the latest interface. It does not override clear current purchase information. 12.
